Statement from Loyalty Vacation Homes: Coronavirus

OUR TOP PRIORITY – OUR GUESTS, OUR EMPLOYEES, OUR HOMEOWNERS - March 23, 2020

The well-being of our guests, our house owners and our employees is of paramount importance. Our individual homes minimize person-to-person contact with private amenities and private entry via smart locks or lockboxes.

In addition, each reservation is backed by diligent cleaning in line with current recommended safety guidelines. Cleanliness has always been of utmost importance to us but we have enhanced our processes by cleaning all house areas with disinfectants considered effective by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

We continue to closely monitor the CDC and World Health Organization’s statements regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and follow guidelines from these agencies as well as Florida health departments.

Update to Loyalty Vacation Homes Cancellation Policy

In response to changing marketplace conditions, we are introducing additional flexibility in regards to existing reservations in our homes.

Effective Tuesday, March 17, we are enabling guests with existing reservations to, without penalty, change the date of their stay or receive a full credit applied to a future stay at the same house or where not possible, another house managed by Loyalty within 12 months.

To qualify, reservations need to meet the following criteria:

  • The reservation was made before March 16, 2020
  • The arrival date is between March 16, 2020 – April 14, 2020
  • We are notified of cancellation at least 48 hours prior to arrival

If you are our future guest who would like to change their reservation and receive a full credit for a future stay please email vacation@loyaltyusa.com to initiate your request. Please note that any changes to existing reservations will be subject to availability and any rate differences.

Statement from Loyalty Vacation Homes: Coronavirus - March 16, 2020

At Loyalty Vacation Homes the health and safety of our guests, home owners, and team members is our top priority. We want to make you aware of the steps we are taking to protect against the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

We have established a task force team to actively monitor the spread of the virus and implement preventative measures in line with the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health agencies.

Updated housekeeping standards

Between each stay in our vacation homes, our professional housekeeping teams are taking extra precautions to already high standard for cleanliness which aids in the prevention of illnesses. We follow our health and safety protocols that we have in place for cleaning and disinfecting targeted areas of our properties and offices. We thoroughly clean and sanitize each property after guest check out, including all surfaces, kitchens, bathrooms, and all common areas.

If a home is determined to have had an exposed guest, our team will follow the recommended guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting the home. We will also follow the same guidelines for any necessary notifications and quarantine measures if needed.

Guest reservations

Since our homes are standalone, private vacation homes, with no shared amenities, our rentals already minimize the person-to-person contact.

In addition, our homes are equipped with smart locks or lockboxes, so guests check in and check out independently without interfacing with staff.

As a result we are seeing new reservations come in as families still want to take vacations when they can ensure minimized person-to-person contact, compared to hotels and cruise lines.

If we are notified of an infected guest who needs to be quarantined in a Loyalty home, our team will work with that guest to extend their stay due to health complications. Incoming guests will need to be relocated to another property as soon as Loyalty becomes aware of the infected guest, as we’ll need to ensure the guest is cared for and the home is properly sanitized.

What should you do if you are exposed to coronavirus during your stay?

Please contact Loyalty if you feel you were at risk of exposure at any point during your trip so we can take the necessary precautions to protect future guests and employees.

Guest wanting to cancel reservation:

For guests who have purchased travel insurance, please contact your insurance representative directly to request a refund or receive information on the policy you hold.

For existing reservations please review our cancellation policy as stated in your reservation agreement and contact our customer support team at (863) 420-1010 or vacation@loyaltyusa.com to find out if you qualify for our temporary exception to our policy.

At Loyalty we understand that you may be unable to travel in order to comply with disease control restrictions implemented by governmental or health authorities. At the present time, the CDC has not recommended a blanket restriction on domestic US travel.

However, following the announcement on March 12 that both the Disney and Universal Studios theme parks would close until March 31, we recognize that some guests may wish to cancel as their vacation plans may have been seriously disrupted.

In an effort to assist during this time, we have temporarily modified our cancellation policy to allow more flexibility to our guests that are unable to travel due to airline cancellations or theme park closing.

If you are scheduled to arrive before April 1, 2020, we will work with you to re-book and travel on a later date within the next 12 months.

Precautions we all should take:

It is very important for our current and future guests to best understand how to prevent and treat illnesses.

The first and best line of defense against coronavirus is taking measures to not contract it. These are the most effective preventative measures everyone can take:

  • Wash your hands frequently with soap.
  • Use hand sanitizer if you do not have access to soap and water.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Avoid contact with sick people, and stay home and seek medical attention if you feel sick.
