Out With The Old-
In
With The New At Disney
Saying goodbye is bitter sweet, so Disney is trying to
make
saying good bye to some of it’s most iconic rides by lifting black out
dates
for pass holders. In a move never done before by the park, black-out
dates will
be lifted for the month of August so pass holders can ride The
Great Movie Ride
at Hollywood Studios and Ellen’s Energy Adventure at Epcot
one final time.
The rides are set to close for good Aug 13th,
but
the black out dates for pass holders was initially supposed to run until
the 11th,
only giving pass holders a few days to get one final
ride. Disney has lifted
the block out dates for the month of August for all
four of it’s parks, giving
everyone some times to say goodbye to some of the
parks’ oldest rides.
All good things come to an end, but the closing of
these
rides is opening up space for something the whole family will love. The
Great
Movie Ride will be replaced with Mickey
and
Minnie’s Runaway Railway, where you’ll step through the screen and
into
Mickey and Minnie’s crazy and colorful cartoon world. With incredible
special
effects, this crazy adventure will turn you into the star of the
beloved Mickey
Mouse cartoon shorts that everyone loves.
Ellen’s Energy Adventure will be transformed into
something
a little more futuristic; a Guardians
of
the Galaxy ride. Not much is known about this new ride except it’ll be
an
e-ticket attraction and it’ll be different from the Guardians of the
Galaxy
ride at Disney California Adventure. And rumor is that Groot and
Rocket will be
standing front and center for meet and greets that the whole
family will get
excited about.
Even if you’re not an annual pass holder, the news of
these
new rides means big changes to how you’ll experience Disney the next
time
you’re here. And speaking of new rides, Disney has recently announced
multiple additions
to enhance the magical experience
including:
·
Pandora-
World of Avatar
·
Rivers
of
Light at Animal Kingdom
·
Choza
de Margarita at Epcot
·
Miss
Adventure Falls at Typhoon
Lagoon
·
And
so many new restaurants and
shops at Disney Springs
If there is a Disney vacation in your future, you must
check
out all the new rides and experiences at each of the parks as soon as
you can.
The crowds will calm down in the beginning of next year making
January or
February a great time to plan a trip and experience all of the new
magic Disney
has to offer.
